Gallery
The Giles Norman gallery is located in the beautiful coastal town of Kinsale in County Cork, Ireland. It was in Kinsale that Giles first picked up a camera for a school assignment, taking to the water on a fishing trawler to capture the local boats. Kinsale was also home to Giles’s first studio and gallery; this town is very much a part of the history of Giles Norman and his journey as a photographer.
Giles opened his first gallery in 1988, and then in 1992 relocated the gallery to its current premises – a historical Georgian building overlooking the harbour. This year marks the gallery’s 30th anniversary at 45 Main Street, and having been recently renovated, it is the perfect space to explore Giles’s body of work.
Main Street is not only home to Giles’s gallery, it’s also home to various independent boutiques and cafés, and only a stone’s throw away from the waterfront. We hope to welcome you to the gallery, to experience in person the beauty of Giles’s work; and his studio is located directly above the gallery with Giles often on-site, so if you do get the opportunity to visit us, you may get the chance to meet and chat with him.
