Waves

Sitting on rocks and standing on beaches while patiently waiting, I’ve become a keen student to the rhythm of waves. Just like a surfer, a photographer is constantly waiting for the perfect wave to come into view. This image is an early attempt to capture the magnificent waves that roll and crash onto Coumeenole beach on Slea Head, County Kerry. Not the largest of waves I've seen there, but given grace by the evening sunlight that rides along their backs.
