One of Ireland's most iconic drives is a breathless seven-mile twist through the Gap of Dunloe in County Kerry. I've driven it many times and walked it a few, each time thrilled again by its beauty and photographic possibilities. This image was taken on one of my first journeys through the Gap with a camera, and it features a cloudless depiction that most of my early work has, but is a complete contrast to the clouds I search for in my current landscape work.
